CONGRATULATIONS AWESOME DRIVING SCHOOL ON TURNING 20! Thank you for enabling me to become a safer and more confident driver. I would particularly like to thank Mike Oldfield for his support in the lead up to getting my P’s first go. After being recommended by several others I contacted Mike in the hopes of polishing my driving before going for my license. I must thank him for his aptitude and dedication even in such a time of short notice. Mike took me on with professionalism and despite not being with him for an extended period, his teaching allowed me to quickly gain the necessary confidence and skills. In a couple weeks I had learnt so many more skills that I never would have known otherwise. It was due to Mike’s teaching style, innately encoded with experience and centered around memory techniques that I was able to rapidly excel with my driving. As a visual learner myself I found Mike’s ability to adapt his teaching to suit me through drawing diagrams and writing instructions particularly helpful. I often had queries or concerns that Mike was always willing to answer, even going above and beyond to respond outside of his working hours. I really appreciated this commitment to maintaining communication with me and I found it extremely useful to my driving to have someone as dedicated as Mike. From assisting me with booking and shuffling around lessons to even making time on his days off, I thoroughly benefitted from Mike as an instructor. Mike Oldfield was a great driving instructor and a big reason why I passed my P’s test. The skills he taught me were invaluable to my knowledge as a driver and every manoeuvrer he taught me came up in the driving test in some form, so I am grateful that he taught me the legal and safe way of doing them. I went from not being able to turn left and right in a safe legal way, to being able to pull off a flawless three point turn and reverse parallel park. I formed a good relationship with Mike as he was patient with my learning and supported me throughout my driving journey. I looked forward to each lesson with him as I knew I’d get some new knowledge and a good chat. Overall, without Mike, I know for a fact that I wouldn’t have passed my P’s test. Awesome driving school was a terrific experience, my instructor was Mike, who taught me everything there is to know on the roads, whilst valuing my safety at all times. In Mike and I’s first lesson, i had very little confidence in my driving ability and very limited driving skills. In just 3 months of being his student, i was able to pass my driving test first time. Mike is undoubtably the reason i was successful in passing my driving exam. He is excellent in his teaching methods and significantly improved my ability in all areas of driving, showing me nothing but patience, care and support from my first lesson to my last. Mike has been great for our daughter. I picked Mike because of his reviews and experience. Our daughter has some anxiety (she gets it from her mother!) so I was looking for someone who was understanding and supportive but also straight with her giving her clear concise instruction. Her driving has improved immensely but what is the best is Mike gives me time too after the lesson with tips and homework to work on to consolidate the driving they’ve done and keep it the same language and instruction so that she doesn’t get mixed up or start wavering on what she needs to do when behind the wheel. I like his routine approach and this helps her too. Thankyou Mike.

After successfully obtaining my driver Ls, my parents were quite nervous with me driving. After my first lesson with mike, he assured them that I will be great, boosting my parents confidence in me, allowing me to drive their cars. After further lessons mike my confidence grew and my parents could tell. He never allowed any messing around, always making me see the serious side of every situation, giving me crash avoidance skills and key fundamental driving skills. Through this i developed them, driving with my parents. Mike then went onto developing more specific aspects like three point turns and reverse parking which through a lot of practice and a set path to follow i was able to master and adapt into driving with my parents. In the end i learnt everything from Mike and even was advising my parents of the current driving rules and driving techniques. I can defiantly thank mike for helping me pass first time. I passed my driving test on my first attempt! I was in a unique boat - I held an Indian driving licence for 3 years but I had no experience driving in Australia. I didn’t think I needed that many lessons but I realised how different the rules were so I needed to learn as fast as possible in a tight window. Mike was an excellent teacher that not only taught me how to drive safely for the test but, how to drive safely for life. He’s a perfectionist but it made me execute everything excellently with only 2 mistakes on the test! He is detail oriented, and provided supportive drawings and notes to review. He can be very strict but it is with the best intentions because it ingrained his instructions in my mind. It was definitely one of the more expensive driving classes but after trying a few different driving schools in NSW, my experience with Mike from Awesome Driving School was the best. He is a clear, methodical, and most importantly respectful driving instructor who has moulded me into a safe driver after 2 months with a full unrestricted licence now! He’s given me the confidence to hopefully drive all over the world now.

When I started driving I was very scared to go anywhere other then the side streets, when I started driving with Mike 11 months ago he taught me skills I didn’t even know you needed as a driver and taught me how to be a safe and confident driver on the roads. I’ve been driving with Mike for just under a year and he has taught me how to be a safer driver and taught me skills I didn’t even know you needed to be a driver. Nothing but positive and glowing reviews for the Awesome Driving School, and in particular my instructor Mike. I am a 24 year old, arriving late to the driving party. Despite having all my hours logged and by all intents and purposes ready for the test, my confidence and knowledge was still not at a comfortable level. After receiving 3 lessons as a gift from my parents, I was comforted to have my hesitancy confirmed. I did need work and Mike was the right person to help me. I never liked driving but he has taught me all I can learn about driving with his thorough explaining and now I’m a lot more confident in the road and enjoy driving since I’ve started with him. After not being successful with my ps test we contacted Mike knowing from previous experience with him he would be able to assist me with learning the skills needed to pass. He was very kind in shifting around his diary in order to fit in my lessons. He was very patient and gave a lot of his time into helping me. Mike is such and lovely person and an amazing instructor, I would not of got my p’s without him. I had my P’s test booked in two weeks and he went above and beyond to for me to fit me into his schedule! when i first got my L’s i thought that i was an amazing driver and i didn’t need to learn anything, but quickly after starting lessons with Mike i learnt that it wasn’t the case at all. He taught me so much and stuff i never thought would help me be a better driver, he is a very good teacher and a cool guy who i share a bit in common with. I undertook a series of lessons with Mike over the span of 2 months. My experience with awesome driving school was excellent with my instructor Mike. At my very first lesson I was quite a nervous driver and didn’t really know the tools I would need to pass my Ps. I left getting lessons quite late, Mike was extremely helpful with fitting me in his very busy schedule. He always makes sure things get done and he sends you the information you will need to succeed in your Ps test. He is very calm with his teaching skills and will make sure you understand what’s going on. He doesn’t miss anything when you are driving as I would always forget to do a head check and he will pick up on it straight away. I was able to pass with a score I was so pleased with as I got the best teaching on how I will achieve passing but also on being a safe driver. Mike will have a laugh with you and would always reassure me that I’m improving and that I will pass my test and would make sure I left the lesson feeling like I have learned something new and feeling more confident as a new driver. Overtime everything started to sink in and get a little easier than it was it’s all about practicing for the Ps test, at first we spent time around home where Mike showed me a few tips to help me pass.

I also did the safety drivers course though awesome and I found it very helpfully.

After a months of practicing the in different suburbs, I started to gain enough confidence to book my test which is when the practicing really started to go up and all the way. We were practicing ever week for 2 hours, on the day of my test we did a warm up run of each of my weak spots which I feel helped me a lot and I passed! which was amazing

Mike was so stoked and so was I. Awesome driving school were amazing thought out my whole journey I would highly recommend them to anyone who is starting there Ls.

Hi! My name is Tanya and I’ve been a learner driver with Awesome Driving School for quite a few months now. I can definitely say from my experience with Mike, I’ve learnt a lot more about driving safely on the roads in general, especially between the Gosford and Green Point areas. There hasn’t been a time where I have ever felt unsafe when I am driving with Mike, his procedures whilst I’m taking off on the main road or even driving in a quiet street is very precise to follow. He helps build up my driving skills each lesson and makes each process, whether leaving the curb or doing a reverse parallel park, very clear and makes sure it will stick with me every time I go driving by repeating the steps each time I do them. If I was ever unsure about something, Mike would take the time to explain it in detail for me until I understand it, whether it be with a marker and paper or just verbally. He also gives me extra practice with situations that I am still not very comfortable with to get better at each time I come across it, such as arriving at a set of traffic lights and turning into the right lane with ongoing traffic. So I can definitely say from my experience, driving on the roads has never felt more safer than now with all that Mike has taught me. 10/10.

My daughter had around 10 lessons with an instructor a few months once she got her L's, and after these I was still concerned about her driving ability. After attending the Awesome Driving School Safer Driver course, she came home and asked to have lesson with the instructor who took the course, Mike!

I managed to book a couple of lessons with Mike who then contacted me immediately to let me know what to expect (homework for my daughter!) and how many lessons to book. His communication was clear, prompt and confident.

After the first lesson she came home with notes, specific instructions for practice and plenty of knowledge about road rules and safety, which she happily passed onto me!

She continued her lessons with Mike and became a much calmer, confident and very safe driver. We both attended the Keys to Drive lesson with Mike and I was so impressed with his knowledge, and the way he communicated accident statistic and good decision making to both of us. His ability to relate to my teenager was excellent.

More notes followed with specific instructions on everything she would need to know for her test. She pushed to practice between lessons so she was ready for the next one.

In the lead up to her driving test Mike was in regular contact to ensure she felt good and to provide support. We both received a text on the day wishing us luck!!!

I text Mike on the day to say she had passed he called immediately to congratulate her, genuinely pleased for us both!

I cannot recommend Mike highly enough. For me it isn’t just about my daughter passing her test, but that she is a competent and safe driver with a thorough knowledge of road rules and the ability to cope on the road.

I had an awesome few lessons with Mike in the weeks coming up to my test, and it honestly made all the difference! I was almost worried about the whole experience at first, but Mike made it a breeze... very friendly and understanding and went above and beyond with his work to ensure the best result, which was 106/107 first try!

Highly... highly recommend Mike Oldfield as a driving instructor :). Mike will be sure to nip any bad driving habits you have (that will make you fail the p1 test!) right out. In my experience, it's clear he cares deeply about my improvement as a driver and success in passing the test. Its clear his goal is to make sure every student passes their p1 test first go. During the lesson, Mike is completely focused on instructing, wasting no time with chatter that is completely unrelated to improving your driving skills (ensuring that every minute counts!). He is patient and thorough with explanations, his sense of humor is awesome, and its overall comfortable driving in the car with him. The man knows the road rules and techniques to pass the test like the back of his hand. With constructive feedback at the end of every lesson, Mike will ensure you will improve rapidly so that you can become a skilled, confident driver (and to pass the test first go!). My daughter had her learners for 2 1/2 years before we met Mike. She had had five instructors prior to Mike. We found Mike had patience understanding and really nurtured my daughter's needs. When my Mum and I started looking for a driving instructor we were not sure where to start but after hearing from our neighbour about the Awesome Driving School we looked through the reviews.

The one instructor that stood out the most for my mum was Mike Oldfield. His reviews were all very positive with the main point of being very patient and observant.

I engaged Mike as my instructor for the last few months of my learners so i could get the correct knowledge and guidance in order to pass for my license first go.

Mike was the most patient driving instructor who explained every road rule possible and broke down every instruction clear and precise. He taught me how to drive with care and confidence and allowed my mum to ease her nerves for when i was ready to drive on my own.

He was very funny , kind and caring and went above and beyond to ensure i was ready for my driving test before christmas. I passed my first driving test with flying colours all thanks to Mike and his teaching.

We cannot recommend Mike enough and are very grateful for everything that he has taught me.

I had Mike Oldfield as my instructor and my experience with him was awesome, I had my Ls for quite a long time when I was learning with other instructors, however, when I had him as an instructor he encouraged me and helped me get it done in a few months. He even gave me lessons on some of his days off, he was very thorough and friendly and really improved both my driving ability and knowledge of the road. I passed my test on my first go, all thanks to him, and would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to improve their driving skills.

When first starting to look for an instructor I looked through many different feedbacks of many instructors but Mike Oldfield stood out to me. What made me choose Mike was many reviews saying how patient and observant as an instructor he was and that’s is exactly true. Mike has been my driving instructor for the past 3 months and each lesson I felt like I was so much more confident in my driving ability. So yesterday my twin boys started their journey with awesome driving school.
I rang in the morning and was set without a worry for the afternoon with a 2hr block to suit us and our busy lives.
Was told that we had been booked in with Mike and we would have our keys 2 drive lesson and talk.
Mike was great. He sat and spoke with both boys in each lesson and explained what the keys 2 drive was all about.
I listened and actually learnt a lot from him that i could use to help them in their driving journey.
Then we went for a little drive. By the time this was over the boys and i were comfortable and we instantly booked 3 lessons each for the boys with him.
So glad that Mike will take them through to getting their P's.

Where do I begin~
I’m an 18 year old who suffers with severe anxiety and Dislexia among other things and Mike has made me feel comfortable and welcome in his company.
He has helped pushed me to learn the correct road and safety rules as well as making me feel confident in my driving skill.
I was able to get my license within 6 lessons and passed on my first try~

After using multiple driving schools an feeling like I was learning nothing and wasting my money. I found mike, mike had the difficult task of uninstalling and correcting all the bad driving habits I had been taught. He also had to juggle my pregnancy hormones an my tendency to cry or be cranky because i kept forgetting a blind spot or the correct procedures.
I would of never had the confidence to go for my P test let alone pass (first go with no errors) if I hadn’t of found mike. He’s an awesome guy an I cannot recommend him enough.
